有機合成を基盤として、有機分子の新しい反応や機能を見いだし、有用分子の効率的な合成法や新規機能性有機分子の設計・合成へと展開する研究を行っています。実験による発見を研究の出発点として、新しい分子変換や反応性を開拓することを重視しています。さらに、見いだした現象を理論計算、分光測定、定量的解析によって検証し、反応機構や分子機能を分子レベルで解明することにも取り組んでいます。有機合成を研究の中心に据えながら、実験と理論の両面から有機化学に対する理解を深め、新たな反応設計や分子設計につながる研究を進めています。

Discovering new phenomena related to the reactions and functions of organic molecules is of significant importance in organic chemistry research because it enables the efficient synthesis of valuable molecules and the design and synthesis of novel functional organic molecules. Furthermore, the quantitative analysis and interpretation of newly discovered phenomena are essential contributions to humanity's universal understanding of chemistry. My research group prioritizes experimental discovery while utilizing theoretical calculations, spectroscopic measurements, and quantitative interpretations.
