有機分子の反応や機能に関する新しい現象を見いだすことは、有用分子の効率的合成や、未知の機能性有機分子の設計・合成を可能にします。したがって、有機化学の研究として大きな意義があると考えています。これに加えて、新たに見いだした現象を定量的に解析・解釈することは、人類が化学に対して普遍的な理解を獲得することに貢献できる点において、重要であると思います。実験を通しての発見を最も大事にしつつ、理論計算や分光測定、定量的解析・解釈を活用した研究開発をしています。

Discovering new phenomena related to the reactions and functions of organic molecules is of significant importance in organic chemistry research because it enables the efficient synthesis of valuable molecules and the design and synthesis of novel functional organic molecules. Furthermore, the quantitative analysis and interpretation of newly discovered phenomena are essential contributions to humanity's universal understanding of chemistry. My research group prioritizes experimental discovery while utilizing theoretical calculations, spectroscopic measurements, and quantitative interpretations.
